Window Screen Snake Trap

Use a piece of window screen to make a trap for your lost snake! Cut a piece of metal window screen into the size of rectangle needed for the ideal size cylinder for the trap based on the size of your snake. Staple the long edges of the rectangle together, then fold the stapled edge over twice and staple the edges with the staple blades facing outside the trap. Cut two squares of the mesh to make the funnel entrances, fold the squares diagonally, and staple one side shut. Fold over the stapled edges of the funnels, and staple the edges of the fold in place. Cut off the tip of the funnel to make the opening the ideal size needed for your snake. Put the funnels into the sides of the cylinder, fold over the excess material, and use a paper clip or binder clip to hold a small area shut rather than stapling it so you can easily remove your pet from the trap. Use painter’s tape to attach the trap along a wall and provide your snake with shade or water if outside.
