DIY Stone Shade Shelter

Use stones to create a shaded area for your tortoise or other small pet! Gather several flat stones, such as pieces of slate. Stack the small pieces in three piles to create a V-shape. Lay a larger pieces of slate over the top of the stacks. Ensure that the stacks are sturdy enough to withstand a strong gust of wind and consider planting a shade plant in the shelter for your pet to enjoy while in the shade.
