DIY Rat Cowboy Costume

Dress your rat as a cowboy for Halloween! Measure your rat’s head. Use a piece of chalk to draw a circle on a piece of felt that is the circumference from the top of your rat’s head to under their chin. Draw a second circle around the first, then draw the shape of the hat onto the circles. Cut out the shape, then paint a ribbon band onto the hat. Consider cutting a strip of brown felt to make a gun belt to fit around your rat’s waist, attach a Velcro fastener on either end, and glue miniature toy guns onto either side.
