DIY Dog Pilgrim Costume

Dress your dog as a pilgrim for Thanksgiving! Measure your dog. Draw the shape of the pilgrim collar on a piece of newspaper, cut out the shape, and use the paper template to cut out two matching shapes from a piece of white fabric. Sew the two pieces together, attach buttons on the front, and attach a snap closure on the back. Cut a rectangle of fabric to make the hat, cut two slits in the hat to section it into three equal parts, and fold the parts into the shape of the pilgrim hat. Poke holes in the fabric and attach pieces of elastic through the holes. Cut pieces of vinyl or leather to the length needed to make wrist cuffs for your dog and attach buckles on the cuffs.
