DIY Parrot Seed Sprouting

Sprout your parrot’s bird seed for an extra-healthy meal! Wash the seeds or beans thoroughly, pick out any dead seeds and then soak the sprout mix in a container of water overnight. Drain the water and spread out the seeds on small containers or trays. Wash the sprouts often and spray the seeds with a grapefruit extract as a disinfectant. Allow the seeds to sprout for one day and smaller seeds for two days before serving the nutritionally-enriched bird seed to your pet.
