DIY Butterfly Net
Catch butterflies, moths or other winged insects with a homemade bug net! Unwind a wire hanger, bend the center of the wire into a circle and paint a wood dowel. Cut a rectangle of tulle, fold the rectangle in half to make a tall rectangle and sew the bottom and side of the net together. Fold the top inch of the bag inwards, sew the edge of the tulle to the net and feed the wire hanger through the tube. Twist the ends of the wire around the end of the wood dowel, cut off the excess wire and wrap the area with electrical tape. Thread several inches of a thin ribbon through a yarn needle, use the yarn needle to wrap the ribbon through the net and around the wire circle, wrap the ends of the ribbon over the electrical tape on the end of the wand and tie the ribbons in a bow.
