DIY Screen Door Dog Door

Modify a screen door to accommodate your dog! Measure the height of your dog and the width of the door, cut a slotted metal bar to the width needed and drill the metal bar onto the screen door at the necessary height. Remove the screen liner to cut off the unnecessary screen and wrap several excess inches of screen around the metal bar. Cut a plastic floor liner into thin strips and hang the flaps in a slightly overlapping row across the metal bar with the top end folded over the bar between the bar and screen. Drill or poke holes through the screen and flaps to attach rivets with washers through the holes.
