DIY Cat Fetch Training

Teach your cat to fetch! Choose an object for your cat to fetch such as a plastic bag tied in a ball and act like the bag ball is interesting and precious to you in front of your cat. Take your cat or kitten into a small room, such as the bathroom, toss the ball to the other end of the room, retrieve the ball and carry it back in your mouth. Repeat this several times while your cat observes and then toss the ball for your cat and reward your cat with pets or a small treat as soon as it attempts to pick up the ball or carry the ball. Rub a treat on the bag to add a scent enticement for your cat and repeat the training until your cat has learned to fetch.
