DIY Iguana Nail Trimming

Keep your iguana’s nails trim! If your iguana does not like to have their nails trimmed, place them on the floor and cover them with a towel, removing each leg from the towel as needed. Examine your iguana’s nails to find the quick, the section of blood vessels that extend into the nail. Use human nail clippers to cut the tip of the claw just below the quick at the same angle as the back of the claw. Reward your iguana after the nail trimming to reinforce good behavior in future nail trimmings.
