Plastic Tub Tortoise Enclosure

Turn a plastic tub into a habitat for a small tortoise! Find a plastic tub that meets your needs, such as a cement mixing tub. Cut three thin blocks of wood to the length needed and secure the wood in a U-shape with glue. Hold the wood structure in the tub and pour substrate into the tub, packing it firmly around the ends of the wood. If needed, poke holes in the tub on either side of the wood stakes and tie the stakes in place with zip ties. Hang a heat lamp from the wood structure and furnish the habitat for your tortoise.
