DIY Drawer Tortoise Enclosure

Turn a dresser drawer into a home for your tortoise! Select a drawer that is the ideal size for your pet and if the drawer has a divider, cut out a portion of the divider for a doorway. Determine the ideal height for the walls of the habitat, cut pieces of Plexiglas to the sizes needed for each wall and attach the Plexiglas on the sides of the drawer. Fill one side of the habitat with coconut fiber and the other side with Timothy Hay, put a paper holder in one corner for a water bowl, and attach a heat lamp over one side of the straw area. Put a UVB bulb into a clamp desk lamp and attach the clamp on the wall of the habitat.
