DIY Aquarium Pebble Mat

Eliminate the hassle of cleaning aquarium gravel by using homemade pebble mats! Cut squares or rectangles of plastic canvas to the sizes needed for the mats to cover the bottom of your aquarium. Use aquarium silicone to glue pebbles or glass beads across the top of the mats, allow the mats to dry for several days and then cover the bottom of your tank with the pebble mats. Consider gluing the pebbles to a glass vase for a matching cave or attaching plastic plants and other aquarium decorations to the pebble mats.
