DIY Cat Grooming
Keep your cat healthy with proper grooming techniques! Brush your cat once per week, always brushing with the fur to avoid damage. Bathe your cat as needed by brushing your cat before and after the bath, placing a cotton ball in each ear for water protection and using diluted liquid dish soap as a shampoo. Rub the visible folds in your cat’s ear with a cotton ball, dip a cotton ball in water to clean your cat’s eyes and wipe the eye gently from nose to ear. Trim your cat’s nails as needed and provide your pet with a cardboard scratch pad or scratching post. Clean your cat’s teeth often by wrapping gauze around your finger, dipping the gauze in tuna water and rubbing the teeth until your cat is comfortable enough to use a toothbrush and toothpaste.
