DIY Dog Couch

Get your dog off your couch and onto a couch of his or her own! Build an oval platform for the base or find a sturdy oval coffee table to modify. Attach wood bars around the back and sides of the table for braces, and line the inside of the bars with pieces of thin plywood. Cut pieces of foam to fit along the railing, against the headboard and for the base pillow. Upholster the couch, sew a pillow case for the base pillow and use Velcro strips to hold the base pillow in place.
