DIY Doghouse Green Roof

Keep your doghouse cool with a green roof! Cover the roof of the doghouse with roofing felt. Attach wood beams around each edge of the roof with small pieces of wood beams across the front and back points of the rooftop. Make a mixture of potting soil and gravel, and fill the planter boxes with the mixture. Cut rectangles of chicken wire to cover the roof and staple the wire to the planter boxes. Fill the planters with succulents or other plants that are safe for your dog and use sheet moss to cover the spaces between plants.
