DIY Donkey Pack Saddle

Assemble a pack saddle to keep your donkey or horse comfortable while carrying supplies! Cut two wood boards to run along the muscles on either side of your donkey’s spine and assemble a wood or metal A-frame across the top of the boards. Cut leather straps for the rigging across the breastplate and rump, cut nylon strapping or thin leather for the pack saddle rigging and assemble the pack saddle with buckles and O-rings. Sew a thin saddle blanket to fit your horse or donkey to prevent chafing and hang saddle bags on either side of the pack saddle with an even weight distribution.
