DIY Electric-Heated Tortoise Shed

Heat your tortoises’s house when needed! Get an oil-filled electric heater that fits in your tortoise’s shed or house. Put the heater in a corner of the house and build a wood fence around it to prevent your tortoise from knocking it over. Drill a hole in the shed several feet off the ground and put the heater cord through the hole. Ensure that your tortoise cannot reach the heater cord, then cover the area of the hole around the cord with electrical tape.
