DIY Floor Scratching Post

Keep your cat from scratching the carpet with a floor scratching post! Cut a wood beam into pieces and attach the longer pieces together with wood screws to make the post. Wrap the post with carpet and fold the ends of the carpet over the ends of the post like wrapping paper. Wrap the smaller pieces of wood with carpet, cut small pieces of carpet to cover each end of the blocks and attach the blocks to the feet. Place the post over an area of carpet where your cat scratches often or anywhere your cat might enjoy.
