DIY Fry Saver House

Keep your baby fish safe in a homemade fry house! Select a plastic container about the size of an ice cream carton that will fit easily in your aquarium. Cut a square out of either side of the container, use sandpaper or a knife to rough the edges around the holes, cut a piece of mesh screen to cover each hole and use aquarium silicone to glue the screens over the holes. Drill a hole in the bottom of the container, cut a clear plastic tube to fit inside the hole and glue the tube in place. Drill a small hole near the bottom of the tube, insert an air stone into the tube and run the hose of the air stone through the drilled hole. Use sandpaper or a knife to rough the plastic on the sides of the container and glue pieces of polystyrene on either side of the container to make the container float.
