DIY Hermit Crab Pools

Provide your hermit crab with freshwater and saltwater pools for drinking and bathing! Find a small plastic painter’s tray and cut off the back of the tray. Scratch the ramp area of the tray with a knife or key, coat the scratched area with aquarium silicone, press gravel or pebbles into the silicone and spread extra silicone over the rocks. Set additional shells, rocks and plastic plants along the bottom of the pool to provide your pet with a perch in the water, dig a hole in the substrate of your crab habitat for the pool edge to be just above the ground and consider adding a bubble tube or air stone to each pool for added humidity, fresh air and water circulation.
