DIY Hooded Dog Coat

Sew a hooded coat for your dog! Measure your dog, draw the outline for the coat and the hood on newspaper and cut out the shapes. Use the templates to cut out the fabric and lining for the coat pieces and sew the edges of the fabric and lining together. Fold the hood in half, sew the edge of the hood shut to make a tube and sew the hood onto the coat. Cut pieces of fabric and lining for the belly straps, sew the edges of the fabrics together and sew the straps onto either side of the coat. Attach Velcro fasteners to the belly straps, sew a drawstring channel into the front edge of the hood and cut a hole in the neck of the coat for the leash clip.
