DIY Horse Allergy Trousers

Make trousers to protect your horse’s legs from allergy-causing plants, bugs or dust! Measure your horse’s legs and cut pajama pant legs to the length needed for your horse, or sew a rectangle of fabric into a cylinder to make a trouser leg. Hem a piece of elastic into the top edge of each trouser leg. Measure the area over your horse’s hips and shoulders, cut a rectangle of fabric and attach pieces of Velcro to either side of the rectangle, as well as to the top outside edges of the trouser legs. Cut a rectangle of fabric to run along the center of your horse’s back between the two trouser straps and a piece of thick elastic to run across your horse’s chest, and attach them to the trouser straps with Velcro.
