DIY Log Humidity Hide

Turn a standard log hide into a humidity hide! Trace the base and sides of the log onto a piece of paper, cut out the shapes and use the shapes as a template to cut pieces of plastic from the lid of a storage bin or a sheet of Plexiglas for the bottom and sides of the hide. Cut an entrance hole in one or both of the side pieces, slice an airline tube lengthwise and fit the tube over the cut edge of the doorway. Attach the side pieces to the log, consider attaching the base of the log or resting the log on the base and place moss inside the hide that is safe for your snake, lizard or hermit crab.
