DIY Modern Tortoise House

Build a modern-style house for your tortoise! Cut pieces of wood to the sizes needed for each part of the house, then cut out a window from each side wall. Assemble the wood boards to build the house, then attach vents in each window. Drill a groove into the top of the back wall for the light plug, and attach a light socket on the ceiling. Measure the floor of the house, cut pieces of acrylic to the sizes needed, and assemble the pieces to make a tray. Put several pieces of newspaper in the tray, then put a piece of plastic mesh over one side of the tray. Build a hide box with a ramp to the top of the hide box for added square footage, and fill your tortoises’s house with furnishings that they will enjoy.
