DIY Open Air Doghouse

Build an open air doghouse into your landscaping! Measure the location in your yard where you will put the doghouse, cut wood boards to the necessary measurements and assemble the frame of the doghouse. Attach wood slats across the roof and each wall of the doghouse that will have lattice, cut the lattice for each wall and drill each row of the lattice onto the wall slats. Paint or stain the wood, cover the wood with a sealant and place the doghouse in a shaded location. Dig out several inches of the foundation for the dirt floor to be cool.
