DIY Paper Cat Litter

Make kitty litter out of paper! Shred newspaper or computer paper in a paper shredder or with scissors. Fill a container with water and mild dish soap, and soak the shredded paper in the soapy water. Drain the water through a strainer and soak the paper pulp in a bowl of plain water. Shake baking soda over the bowl and knead the baking soda into the paper pulp. Strain the water, press the paper pulp into small baseballs and crumble the baseballs over a screen or baking sheet to dry.
