DIY Wood Jump Cups
Set the bar at the ideal height for your horse with homemade jump cups! Cut two square blocks of wood and drill a hole through the center of each block. Cut off the end of a galvanized spike so the tip is blunt. Drill holes through a wood post at the ideal heights for the jump pole to be located. Cut a piece of rope and tie the ends together. Thread the doubled rope through the holes in the blocks, put the spike into a hole on the post and hang either end of the rope on the pipe. Repeat the process to make a jump cup for the opposite post and rest the ends of a jump pole on the V-shapes of the wood blocks.
