Gourd Butterfly House

Create a home for butterflies in a decorative gourd! Find a raw penguin gourd and scrub the outside of the gourd clean. Drill several slits in one side of the gourd and drill a hole through the top of the neck for hanging. Use leather dye to dye the gourd a bright color or paint the outside of the gourd and seal the paint with polyurethane. Consider gluing a decorative silk flower or fake butterfly to the outside of the gourd to attract butterflies and place a butterfly feeder near the gourd butterfly house.
