Paper Mache Rat Egg Chair

Make an egg chair for your rats! Cut a newspaper into strips and prepare the paper mache glue by mixing flour and water. Blow up a balloon and cut off the bottom half of a paper cup to make the chair stand. Soak the strips of newspaper in the flour glue and wrap the strips of paper around the balloon to create the chair. Glue the paper cup to the bottom of the chair and cover the cup with the strips of paper. Allow the paper to harden, pop the balloon and remove the balloon pieces from the chair. Paint and glaze the chair and sew a cushion to fit inside the chair. Poke a hole in the side of the chair and use a zip tie to attach the chair to the wall of your rat’s cage for added stability.
