Plastic Bottle Reptile Log

Turn a 2-liter plastic bottle into a fake log hide for your lizard or snake! Cut the bottle in half lengthwise, cut off the spout and bottom, and cut a large hole out of the top side. Draw bark shapes on a piece of Styrofoam cut out the bark pieces and glue the pieces to the outside of the bottle. Cover the inside of the hide with a sheet of aluminum foil and tape the foil in place. Cover the inside and outside of the hide with several layers of grout, bury the edge of either side in the substrate and sprinkle substrate on top of the hide.
