Playpen Brooder Box

Use a playpen as a brooder box! Wrap sheets of plastic over the inside of the playpen and use large binder clips to hold the plastic in place. Place pieces of cardboard over the bottom of the playpen and cover the cardboard with pine shavings or other nesting material. Lay a wood stick across the top of the playpen, hang the chick’s supplies from the wood stick if needed and place a piece of chicken wire over the top of the playpen.
