Towel Dog Cooling Coat

Make a cooling coat for your dog out of a towel! Measure your dog and cut the towel into the shape needed for the coat. Hem the edges of the towel with bias tape and attach Velcro fasteners to the chest flaps of the coat. Cut a piece of towel or an elastic band for the belly strap, sew the strap onto one side of the coat and attach Velcro fasteners to the other side of the coat and strap. Soak the coat in cold water and place the wet coat on your dog during a hot day.
