DIY Rodent Treat Tree

Make a tree-style treat holder for your hamster or other small rodent! Get a paper towel roll or longer cardboard roll and cut it to the ideal length for your pet’s cage. Cut a thin strip out of each corner of the base of the cardboard toll. Cut a piece of cardboard into two rectangles that are the same height as the cuts in the paper towel roll, then cut a small slit into one side of the middle of each rectangle and fit the slit of one rectangle onto the slit of the other to make an X-shape with the rectangles. Put the X-shape into the cut slits in the paper towel roll. Poke holes around the top of the paper towel roll and insert willow sticks or other treats into each hole. Hang treats on each willow stick with a piece of natural string.
