DIY Basking Area Tank Topper

Make a basking area for your turtle that sits on top of the tank! Measure your tank and cut pieces of Plexiglas to the sizes needed. Glue the Plexiglas pieces together with aquarium silicone. Glue river rocks on top of the ramp and basking area. Cut a piece of wire mesh to the size needed and bend the mesh to fit over the top of the Plexiglas basking area, folding each side over the edges. Set the basking area on the tank lip, and put a heat lamp on top of the screen.
