DIY Clay Hermit Crab Costume

Dress up your hermit crabs for Halloween! Get some nontoxic modeling clay or make your own by mixing sugar, flour, butter, eggs, baking powder and water, and adding some natural food coloring. Mold the clay into the parts needed for each crab’s costume, such as a parrot and eye patch for a pirate costume. Gently press the clay pieces onto your crab’s shell. If the pieces won’t stick, apply a small bit of peanut butter between the clay and shell.
