DIY Wasp Nest Relocation

Safely remove and relocate a wasp nest from your porch, yard or furniture! Wait until evening or night when the entire colony is in the nest and asleep, and then place a jar or bowl over the wasp nest. Use a spatula to slice the nest away from the surface and into the jar or bowl and cover the top of the container. If relocating the wasps during the day, cover your skin completely with long sleeves, pants, a hat, sunglasses, gardening gloves, a towel tied around your face and neck, and wrap your wrists and ankles with rubber bands to hold your clothes shut. Consider using smoke to calm the wasps during daytime relocation and bring the wasps to a natural wild area or a more appropriate location in your yard.
