DIY Coconut Hut

Turn a coconut into a hut! Hammer a nail into the coconut, remove the nail and drain the coconut. Drill large holes in the sides of the coconut and scrape out the coconut meat with a spoon or screwdriver. Clean the outside of the shell by scraping a flathead screwdriver against the grain of the hairs and sanding the shell smooth. Drill a small hole in the top of the coconut to hang the hut with a rope or drill small holes in the side of the coconut and use zip ties to hang the hut on the bars of your bird or rat cage.
