DIY Slinky Nest Dispenser

Use a slinky to make a nest material dispenser for birds! Unfold a metal coat hanger and thread the hanger through a slinky. Re-wrap the end of the coat hanger and use floral wire to tie the ends of the slinky together. Cut yarn into a variety of somewhat short lengths, fill the slinky with the yarn, and pull out lots of string ends to entice the birds. Tie a bow around the top of the coat hanger and hang the dispenser from a shepherd’s hook or tree branch.
