Basketball Birdhouse

Turn an old basketball into a birdhouse! Deflate a basketball and then cut a hole in the side for a doorway. Punch a hole below the doorway and glue a wood dowel in place for a perch. Punch two holes in the top of the basketball, run a length of string through the holes and through a straw hat and knot the string in place. Hang a chain of paperclips from the perch, decorate the basketball as desired and place straw or pine needles in the basketball for bedding.
