Cardboard Container Nest

Turn a cardboard jar into a nest for your birds! Select a container that is the ideal size for your birds. Empty the container and wipe off any dust inside it with a damp cloth. Cut a hole near the top of the container that your birds can use as a doorway. Poke holes in the back of the container and use zip ties to hang the container on the wall of your bird’s cage. Hang a nest material dispenser in your bird’s cage so that your bird can construct a nest inside the container and ensure that there is a nearby perch for your bird to easily access the nest.
