Cornstalk Tepee Nest Box

Make a nest box for your chickens out of cornstalks! Cut a circle of wood for the base, cut cornstalks to the lengths needed to cover the base and nail the cornstalks onto the wood. Lash several cornstalks pieces in a row and attach the row to the front of the base. Stand longer stalks around the base to form the tepee shape and use Virginia creeper vines or thin rope to weave the stalks in place. Tie additional cornstalks onto the tepee to cover any large gaps around the top and fill the nest box with bedding.
