DIY Apple Feeder

Construct a rustic apple feeder for your birds, squirrels or other apple-loving pets! Cut blocks of wood to the size needed and drill a hole through each of the columns. Assemble the wood into the feeder, spear two apples onto a metal skewer and then remove the apples briefly to push the skewer through the first hole in the feeder. Drill a hole through the top rail of the apple feeder to hang the feeder in a tree or attach the apple feeder to the top of a fence post and consider adding other solid fruits or vegetables, such as pears or peppers.
