DIY Cage-Top Perch

Make a perch for the top of your bird’s cage! Cut two pieces of wood into a triangle and cut a hole near the top of each triangle. Stand the triangles on top of your bird’s cage and mark the location of each cage bar onto the bottom of the triangles. Cut slits at each marked location. Insert a piece of bamboo or wood dowel in the holes and attach the triangles onto the top of the cage by fitting the cage wires into each of the slits. Mix chemical-free red clay with water and paint the perch with the clay water to deter chewing.
