DIY Cat Door

Install a cat door in a window! Cut three pieces of wood to the size needed to fit your window frame and drill the wood into a frame for the cat door. Cut a hole in the window screen, attach the cat door to the window frame with glue and glue or staple the screen onto the cat door frame. Attach the cut-out piece of screen mesh to the top of the cat door so that it can be used as a flap. Attach a wood board below the outside of the window with shelf brackets and continue adding shelves as stair steps for your cat to easily climb down from the window. Close the window to close the cat door.
