DIY Cat Vest Harness

Take your cat for a walk in a homemade harness! Measure your cat and draw an H-shape for the harness on a piece of newspaper. Cut out the shape and use the template to cut a piece of canvas or other fabric for the harness. Sew a Velcro fastener to each of the harness straps. Cut a piece of webbing to go down the back of the harness, sew the top half of the webbing in place, put a D-ring on the webbing, then sew the bottom half of the webbing in place to hold the D-ring in the middle. Decorate the harness if desired and attach bias tape along the edges of the fabric. Put the harness on your cat and clip a leash on the D-ring.
