DIY Coconut Crab Castle

Build a castle out of coconuts for your hermit crabs! Gather several young coconuts from a grocery store. Poke two holes near the top of each coconut and drain the juice. Partially cut off the top of a coconut until it can be bent outward enough to create a hole, scrape out the filling to eat and place the coconut in your crab’s habitat for your pets to finish eating the pulp. Remove the coconuts from your crab’s habitat and finish scraping out any pulp. Carefully carve slash marks along the outside of the coconuts, place the coconuts on a baking sheet and bake them at a low temperature for several hours. Drill two holes near the back of each coconut, tie the coconuts together with wire and put moss inside each coconut.
