DIY Cookie Tin Water Heater

Keep your pet’s outdoor water bowl from freezing in the winter! Mark the location on the side of a cookie tin for a light bulb socket and cut out the hole. Insert the socket in the hole and use silicone to glue it in place. Wire a plug to the back of the socket and put an incandescent light bulb in the socket. Put the lid on the cookie tin and set your chicken or other pet’s water bowl on top of the heater.
