DIY Crate Cover & Bed

Decorate your dog crate with a fabric cover and matching bed pillow! Cut lengths of fabric to the size needed to cover each side of the wire crate and hem the edges. Sew or glue together the side, top and back pieces, attach elastic straps to the bottom of each side piece to run under the kennel and attach the top of the front flap to the roof. Attach ribbon straps to the front of each side piece to tie the side walls onto the crate and attach a Velcro fastener to the base of each side piece to attach the strip of fabric for the front runner of the crate. Sew together a pillowcase to fit inside the crate pad, stuff the pillowcase and seal the end or insert a pillow and place the matching pillow in the crate pad.
