DIY Dog Bathroom Bell Training

Train your dog to ring a bell when it needs to go to the bathroom! Hang a hand bell, cow bell or a doorbell ribbon on the door you use to take your dog outside; be sure that the bell hangs at a level that your dog can easily reach. Introduce your dog to the bell. Show your dog the bell, say a word or command like “go potty” or “bells,” and ring the bell every time you take your dog outside. Praise your dog with words, rubs and treats when it rings the bell by itself and immediately take your dog outside in response to the bell.
