DIY Dog Pirate Costume

Sew a pirate costume for your dog to wear on Halloween! Measure your dog, cut pieces of striped fabric for the pirate shirt. Sew stretchy linings onto the edges of the shirt and sleeves and sew the sleeves onto the shirt. Cut a piece of black fabric into the pattern needed for the pants, gather and baste the edges of the pant legs and sew a lining across each gathered baste. Attach Velcro fasteners in the pant legs and shirt, decorate the outfit with buttons or a fake parrot on the shoulder and make a belt and hat to complete the outfit.
